WITH just over two weeks left to have your say on radical plans to change healthcare services across Pembrokeshire, people in the Milford Haven area are invited to a public drop-in event on Thursday, July 5.

Hywel Dda is hosting an event at the Pill Social Centre, Milford Haven, between 2pm and 7pm, as part of its 12-week Big NHS Change consultation.

The health board wants to reach out to people who may not usually take part in or may be traditionally under-represented in similar consultation feedback, including among others, disabled people, LGBTQ+, black and minority ethnic groups, different age groups, people of varying faiths or none, men and people of working age.

Hywel Dda Chief Executive Steve Moore said: “Our proposals for change could affect everyone in our area, from bumps and babies to older people and everyone in between, so we are asking you all to tell us what you think.

"Whether you are a patient, a carer, a family member, or one of the thousands of people who work for the Health Board - we want to hear from you."

In all three of the proposals, Withybush stands to lose in-house services, with a new major hospital planned between Narberth and St Clears.

The focus for the future will be on delivering more services via 10 'community hubs' across the health board area.
