Members of the public are being warned about a postal lottery scam being sent to homes throughout the county.
Dyfed-Powys Police have received several complaints in the past few weeks from members of the public about lottery winning notifications that they have received in the post.
The letter informs people they have are the lucky winners of a large cash prize in a lottery, but before the money can be released they have to send an admin fee' which is typically £1,500 to £2,000.
The public are being warned not to send any money in response to the notifications. Similar scams were operated last year.
If anyone receives similar letters they are advised not to send any money and contact their local police station on 0845 330 2000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
