Pennar School staff member, Margaret Woodward, has decided to retire after thirty years of dedicated service.
Mrs Woodward began her career at Pennar School in 1978 as a clerical assistant, before going on to become a dinner lady, learning support assistant, special needs assistant and finally a play group leader.
Mrs Woodward has thoroughly enjoyed her time at Pennar and will be warmly remembered by generations of children who have attended the school.
At the end of term assembly, Mrs Woodward received cards and presents and good wishes for her retirement from staff and children.
She said: " I have been happy here, and I have never had a day when I did not want to come to work."
Serving under five different heads, Mrs Woodward has been a essential part of the school.
Chairman of Governors, Martin Cavaney, said: "Margaret is a remarkable lady, and her friendly smile and dedication to the school will be greatly missed."
