St Ishmaels (177 for 7) drew with Cresselly (150 for 9).
St Ishmaels showed that that they will again feature highly in this season's title race as the champions got the better of their match against another of the big guns in Cresselly, whose last pair of Stefan and Sion Jenkins had to block out the last four deliveries to hold on for the draw.
Andrew Salter, fresh back from the West Indies and skipper Peter Bradshaw, shared an opening stand of 60, with respective scores of 37 and 29, before Jonathan Pawlett maintained last season's good form with top score of 57 (two sixes and three fours).
There was a mid-innings collapse as Stewart Kimpton departed third ball and Mike Symonds had a golden duck but Andrew Palmer took Tish to a good score with his 38 not out as off-spinner Ryan Lewis was pick of the Cresselly bowlers with 4 for 41.
Julian Arthur looked in good nick for Cresselly as his 37 helped Phil Williams and Simon Cole take Cresselly to 69 for 1 but with Andrew Salter (4 for 31) and brother James (2 for 32) joined by Palmer (2 for 34) all bowling well and backed up by good fielding, only Damian Arthur (24) and Ryan Lewis (27) made any real impact thereafter. Lewis was bowled with four balls left from James Salter and this forced the Jenkins boys to bat out for a draw in a good battle by both teams.
