Dog owners in Pembrokeshire are being reminded of the dog restrictions on the county's beaches over the summer.
Dog restrictions are in force on some beaches every year between 1st May and 30th September.
On two beaches, Whitesands and Tenby North Beach, there is a total dog ban for that period.
At Poppit Sands, Newport Sands, Newgale, Broad Haven, Dale, Lydstep, Tenby South and Castle Beaches, Saundersfoot, and Amroth, there are areas where dogs are not allowed at any time.
All the county's beaches are covered by the Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act 1996 which requires dog owners to clean up immediately after their dogs.
The byelaws are in place to help the enjoyment of all beach users those who like dogs, and those who don't.
Please ensure that you read the notice boards that are in place on all the beaches outlined in this notice.
Infringement of the byelaws and acts can lead to a £500 fine.
For more information, please contact Pembrokeshire County Council's Dog Enforcement Section on 01437 775483 or Beaches & Water Safety Section on 01646 602105.
