Three refinery workers were taken to hospital following a leak at Pembroke’s Chevron plant.
The leak came from an alkylation unit just before midday on Tuesday and a company spokesman confirmed an inquiry had been launched.
“The leak was immediately isolated and specialist engineers depressurised the unit before beginning repairs. An internal investigation has begun.
“The all-clear was given at 12.30pm and all relevant authorities have been informed.”
Production was not affected as a result of the incident, said the spokesman, and although three workers were taken to hospital it was merely as a precaution and none were harmed.
