A new fashion store is coming to Milford Haven this autumn.
The British retail group Peacocks will open a new store in unit C1 at the Havens Head retail park on Thursday, October 23.
Milford Haven Mayor John Roberts said he welcomed any increase in retail development in the town.
“Those two units at the Havens Head retail park have been empty for a long time and I am in full support of any new businesses coming to the town and benefiting the local residents.”
The town’s County Councillor, Anne Hughes, said: “I am delighted another unit has been filled and it will give the people of Milford Haven more variety and hopefully keep people shopping locally.
“I’m hoping it will encourage others to follow suit.
“We are the biggest town in population in the county and I don’t know why we can’t attract businesses to the town.”
Treasurer of Milford Haven Chamber of Trade, Lynne Turner said: “I think it is good we are seeing some investment in the town, especially given the current economic climate.
“They have obviously done their market research and I hope it will encourage more businesses to invest in the town.”
Peacocks will join Tesco, Boots and Littlewoods Clearance, among others already at the retail park.
