Five sentenced after bar punch up incident


Five Hakin men have been sentenced to a total of three years in prison for their part in a punch up in Frankie’s Bar, Milford Haven.

Dean Aldred, aged 33, of 118 Haven Drive; 35-year-old Jamie Donald Picton, of 21 Camuset Close; Andrew Robertson, aged 33, of 10 Waterloo Road; Scott Neil Walters, aged 34, of 64 St Lawrence Avenue and Nathan Charles Young, aged 37, of 20 St Lawrence Avenue, all appeared at Swansea crown court last Friday.

They were each sentenced to 32 weeks in prison, suspended for two years. Aldred, Picton, Robertson and Young were all ordered to do 150 hours unpaid work.

Walters was given 200 hours’ unpaid work and an 18-month supervision order.

Christopher Flanagan, aged 25, of 91 Parklands Oval, Glasgow, was also sentenced to 32 weeks in prison, suspended for two years, and 150 hours’ unpaid work.

All six men had pleaded guilty to affray at Haverfordwest magistrates court.

On January 18, at Frankie’s Bar, they were involved in an incident which escalated after a woman’s bottom was pinched.

CCTV footage of the altercation showed the men, along with others, involved in a melee of violence.

One defendant could be seen to strike someone with a bottle, while another kicked a man lying on the floor.

All six man were also ordered to pay £63 court costs.
