Angle's Mark Mason rescues fishing boats in trouble near Skokholm

Angle's all weather lifeboat, the Mark Mason went to the aid of two fishing boats struggling in choppy seas on Thursday.

The 32ft Fishing vessel Taymor One with two crew on board was experiencing engine troubles in Broad Sound on the north side of Skokholm.

Another fishing boat Rebecca Jane took the vessel under tow but was struggling to pull her to safety in rough seas and with 20 knot winds blowing.

The Mark Mason was launched at 1.38pm. The lifeboat took over the tow and brought Taymor One to the casualty buoy off the lifeboat slip. She was met there by another fishing vessel from Milford.
