Burglars strike during boxing day

Police in Milford Haven are investigating three Boxing Day burglaries in the town and are appealing to the public for help.

All three burglaries took place off the A4076, between Steynton and Milford Haven.

During the evening of December 26, a large handbag was taken from an unlocked porch in Oberon Grove.

Some of the bag’s contents were later found a short distance away.

In nearby Bunker’s Hill, a householder returned at around noon on Sunday to find that some of his possessions were scattered around his lawn.

Burglars had entered his property and stolen cash, whiskey, shirts and DVDs, among other items.

In Caldey Way, also in the same area, a resident noticed that his shed door was open and that a crate of Stella Artois and two mountain bikes had been stolen.

The bikes were later recovered nearby.

Police said that the burglars were selective in their search and are likely to have searched other properties in the area.

They are appealing for anybody who witnessed suspicious activity in the vicinity to contact 101.
