Divisions 1 - 5

Division One

NARBERTH were good value for a 20-8 home win against UWIC, although the students from Cardiff led 3-0 at the break, despite having hooker Rhys James sent off as early as the ninth minute.

The Otters notched up tries by prop Barry Davies, second row Jason Jennings and fly half Gareth James, who also landed a conversion to go with a late penalty by winger Nick Jones.

WHITLAND went down 18-5 at BEDDAU. The Mid Glam side led 8-0 at the break and were always in control from then on as The Borderers failed to take their chances.

Steve Robinson nudged Beddau ahead with a penalty, followed by tries either side of half time by centre Huw Williams and second row Carl Thomas.

The Borderers managed an unconverted try by No 10 Aled Davies but he missed the conversion and a couple of penalties before Beddau wrapped things up with another try from flanker Rob Downes.

Division Three (West)

TENBY UNITED played well at home to ABERYSTWYTH but lost 14-8. They conceded two soft tries in the first quarter and failed to turn pressure into points for much of the rest of the game.

Deri Williams and skipper Gareth Roberts scored tries for Aber, both converted by outside half Gary Williams. The Seasiders reduced the deficit right on half time when centre Neil Powling landed a penalty and they had a try straight after the interval from full back Alex Watt - but couldn't add any further scores despite a great deal of endeavour.

CARDIGAN made the journey to TRIMSARAN and were heavily beaten 64-3, their only points coming from outside half Steffan Williams. Division Four (West)

CRYMYCH won 21-15 at BURRY PORT, who led 15-8 before the Mountain Men fought back after the interval with tries by flanker Andrew Morris and scrum half Gareth Bryan.

Division Five (West)

ST DAVIDS came close to gaining the double over Pontyates but after a 14-10 away win they lost the home match 21-19.

Ponty converted all their three tries and the Saints could only muster two conversions by Rob Miles in three attempts.

Prop Mike Lamb, No 8 Dai Hughes and a penalty try were the Saints' tries while Ponty replied with tries by Duane Evans, Josh George and Allen Williams, with Evans landing all three conversions.
