THE Mount estate received an early spring clean last weekend. A litter pick around the estate last Saturday was organised by Mount youth worker Kathy Gray and Claire Beynon of the Prince's Trust, who also funded the tidy-up.
The band of squeaky-clean volunteers collected 20 bags of rubbish, something Kathy says emphasises the need for more bins on the estate.
She said: "The recent survey showed people are fed up with the rubbish left around the Mount and the amount of bags we collected emphasises that we need more bins on the Mount, because we've only got one on the whole estate."
