Otters in three-figure romp

NARBERTH created records galore against stricken TREORCHY as they won by 116-9, claiming 18 tries in the process. The visitors managed a mere three penalties by scrum half Lee Stone. Andrew Jones led the rout for Narberth with five tries from his wing berth, with others coming from full back Andy Warner, flanker Meurig Daniel, centres Deiniol Evans and Elgan Vittle, lock Dai Ebsworth, replacement centre Dafydd Evans, prop Fifitapuku Faletau (2), replacement scrum half Adrian Killa (2), fly half Simon Daniel and replacement full back Nick Jones. Daniel also notched 13 conversions as the electronic scoreboard at the Lewis Lloyd Ground almost caught fire through over-use!

WHITLAND kept hold of their third place in the table with a convincing 32-10 home success against GLAMORGAN WANDERERS. The teams were level at 3-3 as Aled Davies gave the Borderers an early lead and Alun Lund responded for the Wanderers - but right on half time an interception try after a 75 metre dash by winger Jack Tremlett gave the home side the lead.

Centres Matthew Hughes, Lee Glanville and full back Gavin Morris increased the Borderers' advantage after the oranges and Tremlett added his second try, with two conversions from Aled Davies. The Wanderers had the final word as Tim Lambert scored and Lund converted - but the Borderers were good value for another excellent win.

CARDIGAN lost 14-7 at home to BRIDGEND ATHLETIC after a tight first half with no score. The Cardis grabbed a late try by winger Huw Davies, converted by Steffan Williams - but the Athletic were already 11 points ahead, thanks to two penalties by Stuart Morris and a Leighton Mustoe try. A third Morris penalty sealed the visitor's success right at the finish.

Neil Powling was the undoubted star of TENBY's 36-19 home win against LLANDEILO. Powling, with a hat-trick of tries, dominated an entertaining game. Llandeilo's points came from tries by Arwel Davies, Emyr Davies and James Hughes, plus two conversions by Kristian Roets. Anthony Griffiths bullocked his way through for two Tenby tries and Sion Brace also crossed as Darren Rees slotted two conversions and Powling another.

CRYMYCH took another giant step towards promotion from Division Five as they travelled to PENYGROES and returned with a smashing 57-6 victory. They ran in no fewer than eight tries after a tight first quarter where home kicker Neil Edwards landed two penalties to a try by Crymych prop Rob Davies, converted by Gareth Davies.

Another try by wing Meirion Rees, converted by Davies, gave the Mountain Men a 14-6 interval advantage - but they took control after the interval as Gareth Davis landed an early penalty and then converted five of the six tries grabbed by Carwyn Jones (2), Llyr Davies, Andrew Phillips, Emyr Davies and Andrew Fletcher. Now Crymych have just four matches left, all at home, and could go up as champions after a cracking season at Parc Lloyd Thomas.
