In Division One there were excellent away wins for both NARBERTH and WHITLAND as the Otters beat UWIC by 54-12 and the Borderers outlasted Beddau to record a 22-11 success.

Narberth raced into a 40-0 interval lead with tries by Daniel Gravell, Andrew Jones (2), Gareth Bennett, Nick Jones and Simon Delaney as Gareth James slotted five conversions.

The students managed tries by Gareth Bartlett and George Dixon, one converted by Gareth Morgan but Andrew Jones completed a fine hat-trick and Dafydd Evans applied the coup de grace when he came on as a centre, with both scores converted by James.

Whitland led 12-6 at half time thanks to tries by Lee Glanville and Andrew Richards and an Aled Davies conversion, with Blythe Jenkins notching two penalties for Beddau. The homesters, who are always difficult to beat at home, reduced the deficit to a single point with a try by Gareth Hopkins but second tries for Glanville and Richards kept the Borderers in third place. Whitland prop Wayne Higgon suffered a nasty leg injury and rugby fans will wish him a speedy recovery.

CARDIGAN's match at TONMAWR in Division Two (West) was postponed as two Cardi players were involved in a car crash on their way to the match. Fortunately, neither was seriously injured but were shaken up - and club officials sensibly decided not to complete their travels to Tonmawr.

TENBY lost by 18-3 at PONTYBEREM in Division Three (west) Sion Brace slotting their only penalty as Pontyberem grabbed tries by skipper Richard Hardy, Jonathan Clayton and Emyr Harries, plus a Matthew Rowe penalty.

In Division Four (West), FISHGUARD were worthy winners by 45-7 against BURRY PORT, the Seagulls' tries coming from brothers Graham and Evan Davies, Chris and Alun Evans, Andrew Merrillo, Gwilym Evans and Pete Buffett. Alun Evans landed five conversions and then Chris Mitchell's team celebrated teenager Gwilym's first try and New Zealand lock Buffett's birthday!

CRYMYCH marched on towards promotion from Division Five (West) as they beat ABERAERON 13-3 at Parc Lloyd Thomas. Aberaeron scored first with a Dylan Williams' penalty but forwards Andrew Fletcher and Emyr Davies crossed for tries and there was a conversion and penalty from Gareth Davies as Crymych fought back to win - and there was a bonus for the Mountain Men since this was also used as a Pembs KO Cup tie and so Crymych play at Tenby in the semi-final.

LLANGWM journeyed to play against NEW DOCK STARS and were trailing to a Wayne Howell try after 23 minutes when the referee sustained a calf muscle pull and the game had to be abandoned so the Wasps will have to make the journey again.
