An attention-seeking woman from Pembroke Dock has been warned about the “unpleasant” things that will happen to her if she continues shoplifting.
Philippa Sanger, aged 40, was before Judge Paul Thomas at Swansea crown court for two offences of stealing from local stores.
In the latest incident Sanger, of Ocean Way, Pennar, walked into the Town and Country store and helped herself to a sweatshirt, body warmer and horse blankets.
On an earlier occasion Sanger had loaded £760 worth of high value items into her trolley and tried to walk out of Tesco without paying.
Judge Thomas said he was willing to follow the advice of a probation officer and make Sanger the subject of a 12 month supervision order.
But he warned her: “You are becoming a real nuisance and you are costing local businesses goods, money, time and inconvenience, and for the local police and the courts.
“A lot of it is attention seeking but it can’t go on. There is clearly an underlying problem. You come up with increasingly far fetched explanations. Things are going off the rails and you can’t be making yourself happy with your run ins with the police and the courts.
“There will come a time very, very shortly when the courts will take a different approach and I don’t need to spell it out for you.
“Unpleasant things might start to happen.”
Judge Thomas said he wished Sanger “all the best and good luck” but added that her future lay in her own hands.
