An application for a new JD Wetherspoon in Haverfordwest have been submitted.
The pub chain, who previously failed in their attempt to turn the Shire Hall into a pub, have submitted a change of use application for the Wilton House Hotel, in Quay Street.
The building is currently a hotel with a restaurant on the ground floor.
A spokesman for JD Wetherspoon, Eddie Gershon, said: "We have agreed to the purchase in principal with the owner and are currently working on various legalities."
JD Wetherspoon plans to change the building to a bar and restaurant throughout, while maintaining a number of the original features.
