I AM in complete agreement with the letter sent by John Maloney in last week’s Western Telegraph.
I think it is disgraceful we are expected to dip even deeper into our already empty pockets to finance the police.
As a small community we rarely see a police officer, and when a complaint is made, in my opinion they cannot be bothered to deal with it.
How does the police commissioner expect people to raise the extra money he is asking for? (By committing a crime?).
We have very little support from this service and for the life of me I cannot understand why we should even contemplate paying for it.
I also did not vote in the police commissioner’s election and would not do so in the future if the choices are just political.
