Dear editor,

Further to my letter in last week's edition about forming an animal party, you will have noticed on BBC1 and other news channels the launching, on Sunday, of Animals Count, a political party that puts animals at the forefront.

As a founder member of this party, I am very pleased to announce this.

This coming Saturday in Cardiff we will be holding the Welsh launch of the party.

We aim to contest the Welsh Assembly elections in May and if you would like to know more about us and what we are trying to achieve visit our website at www.animalscount.org.
