WHILE I can appreciate that fortnightly black bag collections may or will save money I cannot, for the life of me, see how it will increase recycling, or have I missed something?
Have the rules changed on what I can put in the orange bags? Because, if not, we will be putting out two black bags instead of one, one of which, with non-recyclable waste, will stand around for a week and I will have to try to keep the seagulls out of them.
We already have a problem with holiday lets and secondhome owners, as the occupiers don’t know or don’t care what the rules are. Black bags are put out on a Friday or Saturday when they leave and left out until Tuesday collections.
Who is supposed to collect up all the rubbish strewn down the road by seagulls?
I note that holiday let bags are supposed to be collected as commercial waste. I am not sure how that works, but all the holiday lets I see put their rubbish out in the same way as everybody else, in the same bags etc.
If someone can explain what I am now supposed to recycle in orange bags that I was previously putting in a black bag, I would be pleased to comply.
