Love Christmas

Dear editor,

Christmas is fun - the parties, the trees, the decorations, the lights and the presents! I know for many it means no more than that. Some people try to rubbish Christmas, and for them I feel sorry.

Christmas is more than a bright spot in a dark winter. Christmas is about God's love, and the gift of that love to us in Jesus. It is not about hate, and that is just as well as we are perfectly capable of doing the hating by ourselves, as we all know.

Let us celebrate Christmas above all as a festival of love. May I wish you and your readers a truly blessed and loving Christmas, and a happy and peaceful new year.
