Alternative ideas for cuts

Re: Pembrokeshire County Council cuts to services.

I WONDER if the local authority’s “cuts” might include those allowances/salaries which our local county councillors and higher grade officers currently earn, instead of cutting the wages of ordinary workers who actually keep the authority running, day-in and dayout, rather than those who purport to “run” it?

There is discussion around an English council which is thinking of reducing the number of councillors they have. Perhaps they think the salaries/allowances might be better spent on service delivery.

I suppose one actually has to ask, would anyone miss them?

Is anybody out there listening?
