RE: Angela Burn AM’s comments, Western Telegraph, February 26.

THE culture and climate of an organisation is consistent throughout all levels.

If employees are happy, content, outgoing and cheerful, this is likely to be the preferred behaviour of the director and senior management.

Similarly, if individual managers behave badly, then staff will begin to emulate these characteristics.

Bad habits are easily learnt and quickly replicated. Bad managers, bad culture, bad news.

An old Chinese proverb says: “A fish rots from the head down.”
