THE chief executive of Hywel Dda is shortly to leave his post and the Health Board has been eloquent in their praise. As a Pembrokeshire resident I have to stand up and say that I totally disagree.
We have seen the loss of the MIUs in both Tenby and Pembroke Dock, the forthcoming loss of obstetric and paediatric services in Withybush, the proposed transfer of cardiac services to Glangwili, the loss of the orthodontic facility etc. I have no doubt that there will be other facilities soon transferred eastwards.
Why do the powers that be wish to marginalise the people of Pembrokeshire, and seek to provide us with a service lower that that given to our neighbours in Carmarthen?
