Continuing excellence at our hospital

DESPITE all the political ballyhoo about the NHS in Wales, it is great to be able to praise the continuing excellence of our hard-pressed health services at Withybush Hospital.

Having just had my entire colon removed to treat bowel cancer, I am deeply indebted to the great skills and unfailing care of the surgeon Mr Umughele and his team for the amazing work that they have done for me.

Also, the wonderful nursing staff for whom nothing was too much trouble and whose caring with their ever cheerful smiles made my hospital stay a little less tedious.

Thanks to their combined efforts, the whole experience was very much more comfortable than I had anticipated and I can now look forward to my continuing recovery.
