MANY of you have been following events unfolding at Pembrokeshire Council recently.
I think it’s clear to everyone that the authority is lurching from crisis to crisis and it goes without saying that the Leadership has completely lost the public’s confidence.
As this paper has reported, the council voted last week to take no further action to recover the pay supplement, unlawfully paid to Bryn Parry-Jones. That’s £50,000 of Pembrokeshire people’s money they are happy to wave goodbye to and that, in my view, is simply wrong.
I’m going to continue fighting but from this point forward, all the vested interests will be coming out of the woodwork to attack me. They are trying to push me off this issue, force me to let it lie and we just cannot let them win.
I’ve started a petition which can be signed at www.paulmillerpembrokeshire.
com/ payitback and I need all of you to sign it and encourage others to sign. If you’re not online, call me (07595 359011) and we’ll get a paper copy out to you.
I’m absolutely not going to drop this but I can’t beat them on my own - I need the people to stand up and start shouting too!!
PAUL MILLER (CLLR)
Leader of the Opposition
