LIKE your reader Mr Kevin Taylor, I too attended the performance of Gabriel Faure’s Requiem at Cardigan recently and noticed the absence of programmes.
Perhaps the demise of the humble programme could be caused by modern technology as details of all the musicians taking part in this event were online.
It could be said that there is no substitute for the real thing and I like your reader appreciate the opportunity of buying and reading a programme for perusal before a performance.
I think musicians and sponsors deserve to be recognised and thanked in a printed programme which we the supporters can then enjoy reading.
