SEEING in your paper about the accident to the cat Koshka caused by a trap, brought back to me what happened to one of our young cats two years ago.

He came home with one of his rear legs and tail badly lacerated, to the extent that his leg had to be amputated together with half of his tale.

I am happy to say that he has adapted very well to his disability.

Having had another cat go missing soon afterwards, and another one disappeared in July this year, in spite of extensive advertising on both occasions, to no avail, it is very distressing not to know what happened to them, as neither of them strayed very far from home.

I only wish whoever puts these horrible gin traps down could be caught and punished.
