RE: Simon Hart MP’s comments on the Pembrey helicopter situation.
SIMON Hart MP says he is “frustrated” about the uncertainty over the future of the police helicopter service after the news that the Dyfed- Powys Police helicopter will cease to fly from Pembrey next year.
It is Mr Hart’s Conservative government that is entirely responsible for cuts to the policing budget which have forced the decision to withdraw the Pembrey helicopter.
Mr Hart has to take responsibility for the harsh austerity policies of his party in government which have done so much damage to our communities and which will only get worse if the Conservatives are returned to power in May.
It is worth remembering that the British economy was back in growth when Labour left office, and we would be in a much better position today if David Cameron’s government had not drastically cut public spending and choked off growth in the economy leading to the slowest economic recovery in living memory.
