In response to the letter ‘No Welsh?’ – The English language is good enough for most people in Britain, Ireland, the USA and Australia.
Wales is part of the UK and the vast majority of the people in this country speak English.
Apparently only about 20% of the three million people in Wales can speak welsh.
100% can probably speak and understand English.
Did you understand the events programme that was distributed at the venue?
I am sure you did.
So what’s the problem?
English is the language of Shakespeare. Welsh is the language of Pobol Y Cwm.
