PEMBROKESHIRE County Council is committed to working with partners to exploit the marine renewable opportunities across Pembrokeshire, and is hugely supportive of Tidal Stream Ltd in this regard.
The company - a private sector development which has accessed European funding - was recently discussed at the Economy Overview and Scrutiny Committee, where one of the Members raised concerns that the DeltaStream device is still at the dockside at Pembroke.
Dr Steven Jones, Director of Development, told the committee that he felt sure that there was a valid reason for the device not having been deployed.
He added that he would take the Members’ concerns to the company and provide an update to Members.
The Council is keen for the project to be successful and looking forward to the deployment of DeltaStream in Ramsey Sound.
