In the wake of Shaker Aamer’s detention without trial and recent release from Guantanamo Bay; in the reality of proxy wars being fought in the name of Democracy.
We, in the west, are supposedly living in a principled democratic system of government and governance underpinned by the Rule of Law and the Separation of Powers.
How on earth do you expect humanity ‘to live in peace’ if you unashamedly advocate ‘intervention’ and the ‘taming of these leaders’. “Onehundred- and-ninety-three so-called leaders in the world.
Is there not one “real leader”
among them that can see the future?”
posits Sir Eric. What is the “vision” if not peace and mankind living in harmony one with another and the environment?
‘Jaw Jaw’ Sir Eric not ‘War War’. Shame on you and you a CBE – Companion of the British Empire. Shame on you in the name of all the asylum seekers- even migrantscaught up in a maelstrom of hope, fear and aspiration and cast aside in the bloody reality of “proxy” wars and vested interests of a failing international system of Governance!
