THE Neolithic quarry at Craig Rhos-y-felin near Brynberian was first identified by the National Museum of Wales as a source of one of the bluestones at Stonehenge.
Our excavations have radiocarbon-dated proof of people quarrying the rock here in prehistory. Dr John is wrong to say that there is no evidence of human quarrying. It is a shame he never visited the site while we were working there. We could easily have explained to him how archaeologists identify tools and other signs of human activity that he was not able to see for himself.
