SO FAR in my campaign to scrap the Cleddau Bridge toll, I have held a public meeting and spoken to many local residents who have certainly strengthened the case for the change needed.

I have raised the issue several times in the National Assembly, and subsequently have managed to secure an agreement with the Minister for the Economy and Transport for the Welsh Government to undertake an impact assessment on businesses in the area should the tolls be removed.

I am currently in the process of writing to many local business regarding the impact of the tolls.

I would be grateful to hear about how your business would be improved with the removal of the toll and how the cost of business on both sides of the Haven Waterway Enterprise Zone would be lowered.

I welcome your response along with your thoughts and feedback on the campaign. I will then make sure that your views are put forward to the Minister.

I want to send a clear signal to the whole of Wales and to the world that Pembrokeshire is an ideal business destination.

It’s important that we grow local business in all ways possible, and also ease the financial burden on families and individuals who live and work in the area.

The Welsh Government has the power to do that, and in this campaign, I believe that we can get that.
