I WAS intrigued by the term used in your interview with Mr Crabb in the Telegraph – “apparent link” to “gay cure organisation CARE”.

For a start there is no “apparent link” as he worked as an intern for them at Parliament before his election as our MP and employed CARE interns in his own office, hardly alleged.

Christian Action Research and Education have to be seen to be believed and I suggest a visit to their website would be very educational as to their views on a variety of subjects and also why Mr Crabb is trying desperately to airbrush out any links that he did have with this “charity”.

Mr Crabb also claims not to be homophobic, but, voted against same sex marriage.

As it seems the only reason anyone would vote against this would be their religious beliefs I presume this was why Mr Crabb voted against this, as I fail to see any other reason to vote against giving people equal rights in this country.

I married my late husband because I loved him, which astonishingly is the reason gay people wish to marry.

There is no secret agenda, the world isn’t going to end, pestilence and plague is not going to ravage mankind, voting against it is good old fashioned homophobia.

May I point out that there is nothing in the New Testament against homosexuality, even Jesus never talks of it.

There is the Old Testament, of course, and it is the passages, Leviticus 18 and 20, that Christians cite as their reason not to support same sex marriage.

However, they prefer to ignore how the Old Testament condones slavery and incestuous rape of a father by his daughters or even genocide by their God with a flood that did not discriminate against innocent babies, children and animals. Just a small example of the horrors that occur in the Old Testament.

Of course Christians do say that they do not follow the ‘Jewish’ Bible which is their term for the Old Testament when confronted with these events in their Bible. In that case then they should have no opposition at all to homosexuality and same sex marriage, eh Mr Crabb?
