PEMBROKESHIRE Council Council is both short-sighted and mindless in their working to move the sixth-form from our local secondary schools.

The sixth form is a vital part of the school. By its removal the sixth-form is deprived of levels of responsibility and of caring for the younger pupils.

It also takes the aspirations of the younger ones to aim higher.

This new idea probably has monetary connotations and certainly will not be to the benefit of either the younger or older pupils.

What a tragedy that education has already been damaged to a degree by the removal of grammar and high school and now the desire is to do further damage. So much for moving with the times.
