SO often we hear of the poor ambulance service that I would like to sing their praise.

On Sunday midday I was taken ill. After a phone call to Doctors on Call an ambulance was needed. I was at quite a remote area in Llawhaden at my daughter’s house.

Within 10 to 15 minutes, the ambulance arrived. What a kind, caring team they were, two young girls and a male.

They made sure I was comfortable for the journey to Carmarthen hospital.

My daughter, who followed from Narberth, took one and a half hours to get to Glangwili, traffic was horrendous.

This surely proves a point about the long journey when Withybush would have been 15 minutes down the road.
