I WAS astonished and ashamed on Bank Holiday Monday, when we should be encouraging tourists, to see a person from one of our authorities handing out parking tickets to vehicles parked on the road alongside the beach going out of Manorbier.
I have lived in the village for almost 20 years, and vehicles regularly park on the verge there, to go to the beach, and I have never seen this happen before.
I am not even sure both how long the single yellow line has been there, but there is no obvious information to say when one cannot park, nor is it clear to me, if the vehicles, when they are parked on the verge behind the yellow line, are actually breaking the law.
Regardless, what a mean thing to do to people that we want to encourage to return to Pembrokeshire.
