FISHGUARD Square was the place to be this New Year’s Eve. All the feedback on the Street Party has been extremely positive.

The fireworks by WestCoast Fireworks and funded by Stena were brilliant, even by the high standards of previous years.

The bands went down really well: local band Honey Fungus supported by 2’s Enough and the winner of the Round Table’s Battle of the Bands.

Sophie Oliver, our excellent compere, helped to create a great atmosphere and kept things moving along nicely.

Fortune favoured us: we had a dry evening with moderate temperatures.

Many other people contributed to the evening’s success.

Here are just a few of them: a wide range of local businesses helped us raise funds making it likely that we will come close to breaking even which is fine; the Fishguard and Goodwick Round Table provided the stage and set it up; Tir a Mor provided printing facilities, and the Town Council provided welcome funding. We are most grateful to all those who helped.

If you were at the party, we hope you too had a great night. Please let us know your feedback. With a bit of luck and plenty of volunteers we’ll do it again this year.
