USE IT OR LOSE IT!
Dear Editor I was concerned to hear that the hours of opening at the TIcket Office on Milford Haven railway station are to be reduced. The reason? People are shopping on line rather than using the local facility. However they still have to pick up the tickets from MIlford Haven Travel - incidentally MIlford Haven Travel get no payment for providing this service. In addition the purchaser may well have to pay a booking charge to the train company, and if they are posted they may need to pay a fee for that as well.
It's another case of "use it or lose it" though in this case it is often the customer that is losing out. Do people realise that it is usually cheaper to buy a ticket at the ticket office because they can advise you the cheapest tickets to buy for the journey you are planning.
