Dear editor, I was amazed to hear about the two cyclists in Fishguard who were fined for riding their bicycles on the pavements.

Amazed, not because they were fined, but curious to understand how they managed this feat when I and countless others could not use the pavements to walk on recently — while these two managed trick cyclist manoeuvres.

Maybe the answer is footwear made out of bicycle wheel tread next time we experience Arctic conditions.

In no way am I trivialising the practice of cycling on pavements, which is indeed dangerous and not acceptable, but these two should auditions for the reality television show of Dancing on Ice, but with a twist! Tim Mcmahon Military Road Pennar Pembroke Dock.
