MILFORD Haven Port and Pembrokeshire Tourism have secured a second Google business event for Pembrokeshire.

It provides an opportunity for businesses to attend a free Google Workshop at the Port’s business park in Cedar Court, Milford Haven, on Thursday November 22.

The Google Workshop is an opportunity for established businesses to find out more about Google tools available and show them how to optimise their online presence.

The event will begin with an overview of the digital landscape and other topics covered will include Google+ and Google AdWords. There will also be plenty of time for participants to chat with official Google Partners, Spindogs, about their online presence and use of Google tools.

The event will be an interactive, informal and friendly way to ask questions without a sales pitch.

Corporate affairs director for the port, Mark Andrews, said: “Having realised the value of our websites in bringing new investment to Pembrokeshire we wanted to provide other local businesses with an opportunity to improve their own online presence.”

Maudie Hughes, of Pembrokeshire Tourism, added: “Business owners are often aware that there are ways to improve and support their online presence but can feel unsure about where to start.

“Workshops such as this help to demystify the internet while equipping businesses with the skills and tools they need to maximise the benefits of their websites.”

The Google Workshop takes place on November 22 from 10am until 1pm at Suite 4A, Cedar Court, Milford Haven. Spaces are limited. Book online now at www.milfordmarina.com/event/ 22/11/2012/google-workshop/.
