AROUND 40 new jobs have been created at a new store opening in Milford Haven this weekend.
Home Bargains is investing approximately £500,000 in its new store on Haven’s Head Retail Park, which will open its doors this Saturday.
Milford Haven mayor, Councillor Guy Woodham, and his Consort Colin Sharp will cut the ribbon to officially open the store to shoppers at 8.30am.
The top brand, bottom price retailer, is creating up to 40 jobs in the community, with its latest store, replacing part of the former Littlewoods.
Joe Morris, operations director at Home Bargains, said: “Home Bargains is excited to be opening our Milford Haven store and we look forward to welcoming new customers”.
The 13,000 sq ft store will give Pembrokeshire shoppers the chance to purchase a selection of homewares, as well as health and beauty items, sweets and snacks, the shop said.
Joe added: “Haven’s Head Retail Park will be a great location for us. We’re thrilled to be in a position to offer local people top branded goods at exceptionally low prices.”
Cllr Woodham said: “I am delighted to have been asked to officially open the new store. At a time when you regularly hear about businesses closing it is fantastic to have the positive news on another one opening in the town, especially with the creation of 40 much needed new jobs. I wish everyone involved every success”.
The new store joins more than 30 other Home Bargains inWales and more than 280 across the UK.
