THE future is bright for All Pets Vet Care in Milford Haven after achieving an Investors in People gold award.

Investors in People status is awarded to companies with clear management structures and goals and a special emphasis on leadership skills and the learning and development for all staff.

Even more outstanding is that this is the practice's first ever assessment.

Vet and director of the company, Billa Schleicher said: “Life in a vet practice can be quite busy and stressful and it would be easy to not give enough time and effort to staff development.”

She added: “The practice is constantly trying to find ways to improve and the feedback we are receiving from our staff and clients and now through our Investors in People report shows that we are on the right track. But you can be assured that we will not rest on our laurels!”

Investors in People assessor Julie Hobby said: “Achieving gold additional accreditation represents achievement of world best practice and shows All Pets Vet Care is a truly cutting-edge organisation operating at the highest levels of people management practice.”

The Milford Haven surgery has been going from strength to strength in the 4 years of its existence, with receiving a UK wide design award for its premises in 2011 and with veterinary nurse Sarah Reed being voted Blue Cross Veterinary Nurse of the Year this autumn.
