MEMBERS of Neyland Youth Club forged a channel-crossing friendship when they entertained French guest during the town’s recent twinning visit.

Young people entertained visitors from Sanguinet and showed them the best of Pembrokeshire.

The group attended the signing of the Welsh Oath at St Clements Church Hall, the parade lead by Air Corps Band, the unveiling of a commemorative plaque outside Neyland Town Council Offices and the laying of wreath at Neyland Cenotaph.

Youth club members also proudly showed off the new play park, which they had helped fundraise for.

Member Courtney Palmer said the group was also planning a return visit to France next year.

Community Youth Workers Sarah King and Donna Young said it had been great to see young people learning about each other’s culture and heritage.
