FIVE students at Neyland’s Pupil Referral Unit – now known as the Pembrokeshire Learning Centre – have had their artwork shortlisted for the Urdd Eisteddfod competition in Bala later this month.
The artistic works of Brandon Sture, Tao Sine, Joshua Miles, Thomas Morris and Josh Skipper were picked to go on to the next round of competition at the Welsh-language arts and culture festival, which began on Monday (May 26).
Based on the theme ‘rhyfeddod’ (wonders), the boys produced some truly innovative and artistic pieces of work and interpretations, using a range of mediums.
Their work will now go on display at the Eisteddfod, where they will compete with other budding artists from around Wales.
The boys were each presented with a personalised Urdd Certificate and dedicated Urdd badge, for their great efforts and achievements.
Headteacher Scott Harper said the news was a proud moment for everyone at the Centre and wished the boys the best of luck for the next round.
The Urdd Eisteddfod continues until Saturday, May 31.
