ENGLISH car enthusiasts will be among those taking part in the annual Preseli Bluestone Run this Sunday (June 8).
Members of Lowestoft Classic Car Club will be travelling from Suffolk to St Davids to celebrate their 25th anniversary, and will be stopping off near Milford Haven along the way.
Lowestoft’s connection with Milford Haven goes back many years, to when the two towns were important fishing ports. Many Suffolk families even moved to Pembrokeshire and made their homes in Milford Haven.
Car Club members are hoping the descendents of Lowestoft families will come to Gelliswick Beach for 10.30am Sunday morning, where the Mayor of Milford Haven will greet them.
The club will then join the Bluestone Run, which leaves Gelliswick at 11.30am, before heading to Haverfordwest, across the Preselis, through ‘Bluestone territory’ and finishing up in Narberth’s town moor car park.
The run, which sees hundreds of vintage, classic, sports, kit and specialised cars and motorbikes cross the county in one day, will once again be raising money for the British Heart Foundation.
