A FLAG-tastic fundraising campaign has now raised more than £15,000, thanks to Pembroke and Pembroke Dock Lions.

Elly’s Ward 10 Flag Appeal was presented with a cheque for £100 from Lions president Peter Deponeo and John Rapley, ahead of the fund's first birthday.

"We would like to thank Pembroke and Pembroke Dock Lions for their generous donation which has helped Elly’s Ward 10 Flag Appeal reach such a fantastic total, and to everyone who has donated and supported the Appeal in the last year," said Elly's dad, Lyn.

On May 1, six-year-old Elly Neville will celebrate one year since she started using her collage of the Pembrokeshire Flag to fundraise for ‘plumpy cushions and fluffy blankets’ for patients on Ward 10, Withybush Hospital.

To mark the occasion, a fun day will be held this Sunday at the Quins Rugby Club, Pembroke Dock, from 11am to 3pm.

There will be face painting, crafts, art, target shooting, golf, boxing, archery and free running, plus live music, magic and dance performances.

Admission is £5 for children aged between three and 16, which includes activities and entertainment.

There will also be a raffle and food and drink.
