HAIR and beauty students at Milford Haven School showed off their creative style to the public last week, in a special runway show.

All the looks on show were designed by a group of Year 10 and 11 students, who recently completed a Level 1 hair and beauty course.

From extravagant avant garde styles to beautiful bridal and prom hair styles, the looks were complemented by a range of gorgeous gowns, courtesy of the Paul Sartori Foundation.

By way of thanks, money raised from cake and programme sales on the night will go to the hospice at home charity.

"This is the first time we have ever delivered this course, and it has been a huge success," said Gemma Baker,

school community engagement officer.

"The students have really flourished personally as well as earning an academic attainment.

"We wanted an opportunity to celebrate their achievements and showcase the skills that they have learnt this year, and thought a fashion show would be ideal."

She added: "It was lovely to see so many family and friends of the school supporting the event.

"Feedback was that the standard of work was exceptional, and the students involved in the show have been a credit to themselves and the school."

Course tutor Roxanne Kucyj, of Roxanne's Hair in MIlford Haven, said the students had demonstrated real talent, with course helping them to further their knowledge and gain practical experience before they enter the work place.
