Following on from its success last year, another RNLI fundraising day will be held at Dale on Saturday, August 27.

Hosted by The Griffin Inn, the RNLI Educational Fundraising Fete starts at noon and will treat you to talks from lifeguards, games, craft, cakes, stalls, a bouncy castle, barbecue and seafood paella, live music and a raffle.

However last year, it was Angle lifeboat who stole the show when they arrived to a crowded pontoon so that the pubic could look around it, and this year they return once again.

The event last year was a huge success, raising awareness of the work the RNLI do and also raising £1200. This year, the organisers want to beat this target.

In the evening in Dale village hall, modern pop, rock and soul band Shooting Counters will be playing on the Saturday evening, while Honey Fungus and their energetic guitar and spine-tingling vocals will be performing on the Sunday evening.
