FROZEN food giant Iceland is scheduled to bring 30 new jobs to Milford Haven when it opens this winter.

The budget store is set to open a ‘food warehouse’ store at Haven’s Head retail park at the end of November.

Iceland says its warehouse stores are often “twice as big as regular Iceland stores and offer a wider range of products”, including frozen favourites and chilled foods.

The new store, which will fill the former Pound Stretcher Extra building, is currently recruiting 30 new staff, from sales assistants to store managers.

A spokesman for Iceland said: “The Food Warehouse is a relatively new retailer that has been trading for just under two years.

“The success of the new store format has led to expansion as stores have opened up throughout England and Wales.”

Planning applications for updated signage and new refrigeration units at the site was recently approved by Pembrokeshire County Council, following backing from Milford Haven town council.

Recruitment will be over the next three weeks and applicants can apply online via Iceland.co.uk/careers.
